The cost of each award is as follows:
UK members - £4.00.
UK non-members - £5.00.
Overseas members - $5.00 or 5.00 Euros.
Overseas non-members - $8.00 or 8.00 Euros.
These charges are to defray the cost of printing media, packing and postage.

Africa Award

The UKSMG Africa Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by working 10 DXCC countries within the continent of Africa. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.

Asia Award

The UKSMG Asia Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by working 10 DXCC countries within the continent of Asia. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc

Digital Award

The UKSMG Digital Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band using any digital mode. The award is recognised by three certificates marking 10, 25 and 100 grid squares worked. The award can be endorsed by digital mode used, i.e. JT6M, RTTY etc.

Europe Award

The UKSMG Europe Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by three certificates marking 20, 40 and 60 DXCC countries worked within the continent of Europe. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.

North America Award

The UKSMG North America Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by a certificate for working 5 DXCC countries within the continent of North America. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.

South America Award

The UKSMG South America Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by a certificate for working 5 DXCC countries within the continent of South America. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.

New Moon Award

The UKSMG New Moon Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by a certificate for working your first initial / station via EME. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.

EME Award

The UKSMG EME Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band using EME. Any mode of operation is permitted and the certificate can be endorsed either INITIALS or COUNTRIES worked. The award is recognised by certificates marking 10, 20, 30, 40 etc stations worked.

Full Moon Award

The UKSMG Full Moon Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band using EME. Any mode of operation is permitted and the certificate can be endorsed either INITIALS or COUNTRIES worked. The award is recognised by a certificate marking 100 stations worked.

Oceania Award

The UKSMG Oceania Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award is recognised by a certificate for working 5 DXCC countries within the continent of Oceania. The award can be endorsed SSB, CW, SWL etc.
All awards are governed by the following rules:
  1. The certificate is available to members and non-members of the UK Six Metre Group although we would encourage you to join.
  2. No cross band contacts permitted.
  3. For SWL, station logs must show both the claimed station and the station being worked.
  4. QSL cards are not required but both stations must consider all contacts complete and a signed declaration is required from the applicant on the application form. The Awards Manager reserves the right to request a copy of logs to support any application if required.
  5. The start date for eligible QSO's is January 1st 1989.
