The Mid Cornwall Beacon And Repeater Group, are pleased to announce we are at last in the position to replace our ageing beacon antennas, for the following bands:

50 Mhz
70 Mhz
144 Mhz
432 Mhz

The beacons will be down for the whole day from 0900 Hrs on the 5th May, until we finish in the evening. This work will of course only take place if the weather is resonable, we reserve the right to postpone until another day if required.

Further to our earlier announcement, we will be cancelling the work this Saturday 5th May, weather forecast is awful and the site is very exposed. I will of course let you all know when the work has been re-sheduled.

Once again, we are planning to undertake the work on the beacons Saturday 26th May 2012, therefore expect some disruption in service. As always we are at the mercy of the weather, so fingers crossed for fine weather and the new antanna's and feeders will be installed.

All done and GB3MCB now has new antennas with the six mtr dipole at the top of the tower (30 Mtrs) up. So please send in your signal reports.
