Hi I'm curently looking at improving my six meter antenna and would like some ideas thrown at me. I can go up to about 15-16ft boom at my location so even though i would like a lfa its to big for here. There's the Eagle 6x5dx any thoughts on this antenna and the M2x5 have been looking at. I currently run the tonna 5 element whilst is good i feel could be improved.

I have had some mechanical problems with the Eagle 6 ele yagis on 70 MHz. Both broke at the boom-mast plate and also one at the match stub. They have the same construction as the 6 m models. My M2 5 ele stack for 6m on the other hand has been up for years, works great and has survived 105 mph winds. Worth the extra dosh. Alex GD6IA

Hi Andy... Presumably you're limited by turning radius but want more elements? I have the 4-el LFA, which is quite small. It might be worth having a word with Justin to see what he suggests. He's very helpful.

Hello Andy G0VUH
Take a look at DK7ZB web site, 5 element 28 ohm.
Think its the right size boom for you, easy to build and set up.
Don't get rid of the Tonna parts, use the boom support bracket for the new 5 element. You can also re-use the dipole feed support if its still OK.
Can recommend supplies from NUCOM.de good service and parts produces.
I made the DK7ZB for last season and re-used the above Tonna parts.
Antenna works real well, 102 DXCC this year so far, with some nice DX, 4L, N6, ZS, PU, 5J0, XE etc.
Build it, you won't be disappointed.
Good luck and 73 Mark CT1FJC.
