CT3FT (GI3IVJ), Cedric J. Rourke, has died. GI4OCK, Stewart, says he was "A lovely man, well into his 80s, but was still seeking out the two or three remaining entities he needed. He maintained regular skeds with his friends back home in GI." Cedric began SWLing as a schoolboy in 1949 in Be fast, Ireland. He studied for the ham test and passed in 1952. His father got the GI3JIM call at about the same time and they set up a station together. Cedric became a high school physics teacher in 1955. With several QTH moves, he ended up with a rural hilltop QTH in County Down, with an 80-foot tower and 5-band quad. Then working DX became easy. With early retirement, he moved to Madeira and started DXing all over again with his CT3FT call and CS3T during contests. He liked CW in the mornings on 160, 80, 40 and 30, especially at dawn, then SSB later in the day on higher HF bands.
